Phase 7.1 (experimental)
Hello friend have you got the post phase 11 blues? Did phase 11 just leave
you wanting more? Well now there is a solution: phase 7.1, august 16-18th,
WNC. Phase 7.1 will probably be low key compared to phase 11, its really
just an off hand experiment to see if there is any chance of repeating a

Phase Requirements:
So many of you have asked what makes a phase.
Short answer: you do.
Long answer: here is the evolving list of additional requirements:
1. No money needed. An important property of a phase is that no one can be excluded on account of cost. Unfortunately this rule does not include transportation expenses at this time, but hopefully we will be able to charter free official phase flights and car rentals at some point in the future. So besides bringing your own whatever you want to be there and share, and getting there, phases are free!
2. A phase can't be at someone's place (phases 4 and 10 broke this rule, and are hence in contention)
3. Everyone is invited. However this does not mean we will be sending everyone their own fancy personalized invitation, but don't let this stop you from attending!
4. No two phases are in the same place or if a phase repeats a location, then it keeps the previous number, with just a minor version number added on. Phase 1 broke this rule and is hence in contention. Special NOTE: this rule is going to be ironed out and decided for sure after phase 7.1 this summer.
5. arthur has to be there. (The previously contested phase 10 broke
this rule as well)
6. A phase cannot be coupled with some other holiday or birthday celebration. That's not to say that one of these events cannot coincide with a phase adding on another layer of celebration, just so long as the phase is the main focus. And since a phase is for the people, after you've attended a couple, feel free to come up with additional special phase conditions, run it by people at the next phase and if everyone generally agrees then bam we'll add it to the list!
